Martín
Hardoy was born in Buenos Aires but was lucky enough
to spend his summers at his families “estancia”,
where he was able to share different rural tasks with the
workers. A spine injury forced him to stop breaking in horses
in the traditional gaucho style. For this reason, he began
investigating, observing and experiencing non-violent horse-breaking
techniques. Through years of experimentation he was able
to develop his own man-horse relating method know as “doma
racional” or rational horse breaking. At present,
Martin is considered an international expert and offers
training sessions at his farm in Solis and also in other
regions of Argentina and abroad. He has been summoned to
participate in a project to shear guanacos in Patagonia
due to his ability to relate to wild animals.
