Travel with genuine desire to learn more about the people of your host country.<\/li>\n<li>Acquaint yourself with local customs and be aware of the feelings of other people, thus preventing what might be intrusive behavior on your part.<\/li>\n<li>Your pre-trip research can be continued by asking questions while you\u2019re there.<\/li>\n<li>Any attempt to learn even a few words of the local language will make this a more rewarding experience for all involved.<\/li>\n<li>Inquire about local culture, heritage and natural surroundings.<\/li>\n<li>Ask travel agencies about the impact your trip might have on the environment, the local economy and local culture.<\/li>\n<li>Think about the type of interaction you expect with local communities and the environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ask how local people will benefit financially from your trip.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-483 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.360responsibletourism.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/pinturas-rupestres24-e1422624836688.jpg\" alt=\"Pinturas rupestres\" width=\"1024\" height=\"320\"><\/p>\n<h2>DURING<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Establish good relations between the local community and your country.<\/li>\n<li>Talk with the locals. Learn about the area\u2019s history.<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to he community\u2019s economic growth by buying local handicrafts and products. Buy and eat locally produced food. Use local transportation.<\/li>\n<li>Don\\&#8217;t treat people as part of the landscape. Ask permission before photographing them, because they may not want their pictures taken. espect their wishes.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that your behavior has no impact on the natural environment. Avoid picking flowers, removing seeds, damaging coral or even buying souvenirs such as shells and skins.<\/li>\n<li>Accept, adapt and do not disturb local festivities and customs.<\/li>\n<li>Watch your dress and behavior, and display respect for the place and its people.<\/li>\n<li>Respect silence in protected areas, and hear the sounds of nature.<\/li>\n<li>Use natural resources sparingly.<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t throw litter on the ground.
